Dr. John Shin graduated from U.C. Berkeley with B.A. degree in Biophysics major in 1987.  From 1987 to 1992 He attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received  DMD degree.  He worked as a general dentist for 10 years before he decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry.  He did his residency in pediatric dentistry in Eastman Dental Center, University of Rochester, NY.

Dr John has been married since 1997.  He and his wife are proud parents of two kids, Eugene 12 years old and Sara 13 years old.  Dr. John enjoys playing golf, tennis, and soccer.  He is also a member of Easy Runners, a local marathon club.  Every year, he plans to finish several half-marathon and L.A. marathon.
